Check a medication
See what the FAA has published about a medication: 463 medications and classes, from 73 FAA documents.

- The FAA's own word for it, when its document uses one, kept apart from Crosscheck's plain reading.
- Any wait the FAA gives, shown with the answer.
- When the answer depends on what you take it for, you choose the use first.
- When the FAA's documents don't cover a medication, the answer says so. That does not mean it is acceptable.
- The search runs on your device. Nothing you type leaves it.
Medication guidance alone does not determine whether a pilot is medically qualified to fly. The underlying condition, dosage, side effects, medication combinations, and certification history may affect FAA eligibility.

My FAA Medical
Your certificate, your dates and your next exam on one page, with Get ready for my exam.

- Save the confirmation number MedXPress gives you when you submit.
- The FAA deletes an application if the exam doesn't happen within 60 days. Crosscheck counts the days left.
- What to bring, from the FAA's own page: your confirmation number and a government-issued photo ID.
- Your glasses or contacts too, when your certificate has a limitation about them.
Sources: the 60 days, the FAA's MedXPress questions page (opens in a new tab). Checked 14 Oct 2026. What to bring, the FAA's page on getting a medical certificate (opens in a new tab). FAA date 14 May 2026. Checked 14 Oct 2026.
Doctor visits and medications
MedXPress asks for every visit to a health professional in the last 3 years (Item 19) and every medication (Item 17). Add them as they happen.

- Each visit in the boxes the form asks for: the date, the doctor, the address, the kind of professional and the reason.
- Copy for MedXPress shows your list as the form's own boxes. Press a box to copy it, and it turns green.
- Add a medication by hand, or straight from Check a medication. It stays linked to its FAA entry.
- Attach a note or a test result to a visit. It shows in My documents too.
Source: MedXPress, the FAA's online application (FAA Form 8500-8), Items 17 and 19. Crosscheck assumes you list everything, the way the form asks.
